Colorado Springs has much to offer to outdoor enthusiasts. In addition to hiking and climbing at the Garden of the Gods, there are several excellent 18-hole golf courses located all over the city. In addition, there are numerous gymnasiums and exercise facilities spread throughout Colorado Springs, notably the Colorado Springs Sports Center.

Colorado Springs also has a good selection of spectator sports available. It is home to progressive athletic programmes in a wide range of sports at college, university and club levels. Of particular interest is the Air Force Academy American Football team, which play home games at Falcon Stadium on the Air Force Academy campus. The Air Force has a long standing rivalry with the Navy and their annual game is always a heated contest. Meanwhile, rodeo is also popular in this western town, with Pike's Peak and Bust Rodeo being held here annually.
