Home to a professional team for all of the four major American sports - baseball, basketball, ice hockey and American football - Dallas is a major sports town. The Dallas Cowboys have won more Super Bowls as any other team and the Dallas Mavericks basketball team have recently become championship contenders. American Airlines Center is home to the Mavericks, while the Cowboys host their games at Texas Stadium, although there are plans for a new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. Also in Arlington, the Texas Rangers play baseball games at Ameriquest Stadium and the Dallas Stars ice hockey team also call the American Airlines Center home.
