With its friendly Mediterranean breeze, sailing is undoubtedly the most popular sport in and around Menorca, while windsurfing, waterskiing, jet-skiing, rubber rafting and sea kayaking are also popular. Scuba diving for everyone from beginners to advanced divers or is available. Alternatively, snorkelling is on offer for budget-minded tourists.

Fast becoming popular are the hiking trails around the island; tourist information centres can connect intrepid hikers with experienced and well-trained guides. Most of the hiking trails take hikers through the island's nature reserves, with the areas around Cape de Favaritx, Cape de Cavalleria and C'Albufera known for having some of the best hiking.

Golf is a major sport in Menorca and the island has a high concentration of courses located in beautiful settings. Most of Menorca's golf courses offer lessons, well-qualified caddies and equipment for hire.
