East Nashville is home to American football team the Tennessee Titans. Their fortress is the 67,000-seat stadium known as the Adelphia Coliseum. Originating from Houston in 1960, they were originally referred to as the Oilers. Having had all the ups and downs of most major sports teams over the years, it wasn't until 1997 that they actually moved out of Houston.
